Three essays in three days... done! *strikes a pause* Ta da!
I wish I could kick back and relax right now, but despite having worked like mad and written approximately twenty-four pages of scholarly writing in three days... I have a ton more work to do.
Tuesday is my in-class final for Archeology. My final Archeology assignment is also do that day. To make things a perfect trifecta, my take-home Racism exam is due Tuesday as well.
Wednesday is my in-class final for French. My take-home exam for my Gender class is due that day as well.
When I am finished all of this, I am going to celebrate by getting trashed!
Then I can devote the next several months to whatever the hell I please. Fandom ahoy!
Speaking of fandom, I had made the decision last summer to save up THIS summer so I can attend next year's ComicCon in San Diego. I was then hit with the dillemma of what costume to make. I like dressing up; it's a lot of fun, and cosplaying at Anime North last year was a ton of fun! But the problem is, well... I'm a girl. And comics fandom usually isn't too kind in it's non-scanty design of female characters. Also, most comics characters are tall. I... am not.
I do, however, make one rocking Cooking Mama!
But then, in discussing the preview image of Captain America #600 with a friend of mine, I came upon a great idea. And so, my project this summer and my future ComicCon identity will be... Rebecca Barnes! I mean, why not? I am a small enough person to play the alt!teenage sidekick, and it'd be a costume I wouldn't feel like cheap eye candy wearing, and it would be infinitely less expensive than encasing myself in Iron Man armour to hide my gender from the preying masculine masses.
Plus, you know... any and all Buckys are awesome. So who wants to be my Steve? :D
